Germany has asked the U.S. spy chief stationed in Berlin to leave the country after allegations of spying. The accusations have driven a wedge between German–American relations. Germany’s government has made very clear the breakdown of trust felt towards the United States, a situation that will certainly take a toll on their joint efforts in tackling international crises.
