World powers have agreed on a “cessation of hostilities” in Syria that could serve as a bridge towards the resumption of genuine peace talks later this month. Some scholars feel the announcement could possibly lead to a cease-fire in the war-torn country, while critics feel that the vagueness of the term will only lead to more destruction.
